CFMA Student Scholarship
APPLICATION DEADLINE
All application materials, including the required application, transcript and essay must be received on or before June 30, 2024.
OBJECTIVE
The objective of the CFMA Student Scholarship is to enable full-time students interested in finance, accounting or construction management to pursue their education in the subject.
REQUIREMENTS
The scholarship has multiple requirements. All competitive applicants are expected to meet all of the below stated requirements:
1. Enroll in an Oregon/SW Washington College or University as a student pursuing a degree or certification.
2. Maintain GPA of 3.0 or higher.
3. Submit a complete CFMA Scholarship Application, including:
a. A 300-word essay that demonstrates the applicant's relationship to the construction industry and/or how the construction industry impacts the economy.
b. A current transcript from the colleges or universities attended thus far, or high school transcript for those entering their first year of college.
c. A current resume.
d. Two letters of recommendation, with one academic and one from the business community. Letters from a member of the applicant's immediate family will not be considered).
Mail the transcript and letters of recommendations to the attention of:

REVIEW AND AWARD
Scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 will be awarded in early August for the academic year beginning Fall 2024. Scholarship winners will be notified via phone and honored at the CFMA Annual Golf Tournament on Friday, September 27, 2024. Attendance is requested.
The CFMA Portland Chapter includes representatives from Construction Firms, Public Accounting Firms, Insurance Firms and various construction related partners in the Portland Metro Area. The Chapter’s Scholarship Committee will award all scholarships based upon the above stated criteria.
CFMA Member Scholarship

The objective of the CFMA Member Scholarship is to enable students with a relationship to a CFMA member or member’s company to pursue their advanced educational objectives regardless of their area of study.
REQUIREMENTS
The scholarship has multiple requirements. All competitive applicants are expected to meet all of the below
stated requirements:
1. Enroll in an Oregon/SW Washington College or University as a student pursuing a degreed program.
2. Demonstrate a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
3. Submit a complete CFMA Scholarship Application.
4. Submit a 300 word essay demonstrating how the applicant’s courses benefit the member organization to which the applicant is related or how this scholarship will be of benefit to the applicant.
5. Submit a current transcript from the Colleges or Universities attended thus far.
6. Submit your current resume.
7. Submit two letters of recommendation, with one academic and one from the business community (letters cannot be from a
member of the applicant's immediate family).
